Cloudburst

As we watch the cloudburst,

Upon the edge of shine,

It’s movements unrehearsed,

As it’s rain does enshrine.

All the curiosities unearthed from beneath old floorboards; a shoe, kittens and rats.

A child’s dusty memory,

Hidden beneath the floor boards,

For nigh on a century.

Oh, what tales those soles record.
