On an autumn day,

Blinding as a farewell,

Thought little & indescribable,

As you leave me alone,

With a fading day.

As we bade farewell,

To mortality & ashen worms,

All the curiosities unearthed from beneath old floorboards; a shoe, kittens and rats.
